About Marthas Furnishing Fabrics

Marthas has long been a destination for anyone looking for top quality, international fabrics. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are always happy to offer expert advice to help you make the right fabric choice. Our high quality fabrics are sourced from international designers.

Fabric Services

Fabric Selection

We help you select the appropriate grade of fabric for your end use. Whether you need heavy duty upholstery fabric for daily use or lighter occasional fabric for furniture that is rarely used. If your home is very sunny or you need thermal properties to your curtaining to add warmth to a room, we help you select the right fabric for the right situation.

Interior Design

Our trained staff all have ‘the eye’ for colour and design so that we can help you put together an interior scheme using your existing colours, flooring and finishes and selecting beautiful fabrics to complement your home. Whether it is a small project, a rennovation or you are building a new home we are experienced at guiding you through this process.

Fabric Samples

free of charge we provide large fabric cuttings of designs you are interested in so that you can take them home to view in day and night lights and against existing furnishings to enable you to select the perfect solution.

Phone / Email Consultation

We deal a lot with customers from outside Auckland and work closely with people either over the phone or via email to send samples for your interior scheme. We take a detailed brief and more often than not the options we send satisfy customers and enable you to place an order to be couriered to you.

Linings

We sell high quality linings to accompany your curtain fabric. We can help you select the most appropriate backing fabric to provide protection from the elements. All our linings are off white colour, 150cm wide and in stock.

Custom Cushion Making

We manufacture cushions to order using any of our beautiful fabrics and feather inners, please enquire if you would like more information.

Feather Cushion Inners

– We sell beautiful quality feather cushion inners. These inners ensure that your cushion looks better for longer as feathers are able to be ‘plumped’ up after they have been sat against. Most interior designers use feathers inners in their decorating. Our inners fit the following cushion sizes;

30cm x 50cm $32 each
40cm x 40cm $24 each
50cm x 50cm $35 each
65cm x 65cm $66 each

Curtain Makers

– we recommend names of curtain makers for you to deal directly with them for making your curtains and blinds.

Upholsterers

– we recommend names of upholsterers for you to deal directly for your re-upholstery needs.

Martha’s Furnishing Fabrics imports exclusive curtain and upholstery fabric direct from top mills in Europe and America. We then sell these textiles at wholesale prices direct to you, the public. This enables us to offer high quality products at very competitive prices.

We specialise in beautifully designed textiles, from fine Belgian linens to graphic American chenilles, French velvets, quality English prints and European taffeta. Martha’s design director regularly sources luxurious and innovative fabrics from around the world.

Martha’s in-house designers can help you find fabric solutions for curtaining and furniture - new or recovery work. Give us your brief and we can collate samples for you to take home and try with your existing scheme.

We also provide telephone consultancy which is beneficial for long distance customers. Indeed, we send samples and orders all over New Zealand.
